Michaela earned her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, graduating in May 2019. During law school, she was inducted into the Order of the Barrister and served as President of the Washburn Law Democrats in 2019. She was also an active member of the Trial Advocacy Team from 2016 to 2019, demonstrating her passion for courtroom advocacy and public service. Prior to earning her law degree, Michaela completed both her Master of Liberal Studies and Bachelor of Arts degrees at Washburn University. Her graduate research explored social movements and political conflict.
Before joining Stange Law Firm in Topeka, Kansas, Michaela gained legal experience through her tenure with a law firm in Topeka, where she served as both a Legal Assistant and later as an Attorney. Her work there included conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, managing discoveries, and preparing cases for court presentations. Earlier in her career, she also worked with a law firm in Olathe, Kansas, assisting with juvenile law, water regulation matters, and estate planning documentation.
